We Are March 

June 6th, 2020

We met at Union Square West, assembling musicians in front to be led by Jon.  We came down the east side of the park, pausing in front of the George Washington Statue for a few words from Jon before hitting the streets.   

These were taken as we marched down University Place towards Washington Square Park.  We made our way to Avenue of the Americas (6th Ave) to head up to 34th.  

But not before stopping to jam.

We paused every few blocks to play.  We reached 34th Street and 6th Ave, home to the Empire State Building.  Jon led the group in a rendition of Empire State of Mind that is the best version I've heard to date.  The crowd was electric.
